So much fun!! We spent almost three hours walking around and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was pretty packed, but we were still able to see everything we wanted to and everyone was polite and tried to share the views with others.
Coming from a smaller city with only a small zoo, this was amazing to see so many beautiful animals! The exhibits were clean, beautiful, the animals looked extremely well cared for and well fed!
Wonderful experience!!By Nick Gladden (8 months ago)A lot packed in a small looking building. Has multiple levels to walk through and see different animals. Is more zoo vs aquarium though but kinda combine the two together which is cool. Was very busy when we got here on a Saturday afternoon, the line to get in wrapped around the building but was steadily moving. Due to its business trying to walk through and see some animals were hard. So be mindful and try to go at none busy time.By Garrett Reed (8 months ago)Usually packed but that’s pretty much expected because it’s the aquarium and everyone likes to bring their family, friends, & loved ones here. Honestly a really fun place. My favorite part was the penguins, and cheetah because they’re so cute! Nothing really exceptionally unique about this place but definitely a great place to go to if you like animals! Some places have AC but I would definitely recommend bringing yourself a little fan or using a pamphlet to fan yourself if you get hot!By Anna Jasmine Guaderrama (6 months ago)This was quit the experience. It was a lot of fun. Parking is ten dollars. There was a long line to get it as it was wrapped around the building when we went but it only took 20 min to get inside and it didn’t feel to crowded. The employees were great and friendly. I saw a couple of restaurants inside but did not eat at any of them. It funny they have aquarium in their main name but the aquarium portion isn’t as big as you would expect. It is worth your time.By Shane Speegle (2 weeks ago)Very nice place, not completely an aquarium as there’s also things like birds, sloths, owls, and snakes. Has a very open area to fully immerse you in the experience. Wish there was more “security” around the open top tanks as there were many kids putting their hands in them and trying to mess with and touch fish that should not be handled. Also has a great gift/souvenir shop with decent prices. Overall would definitely recommend, but if you bring kids, please watch them.

I’ve lived in Texas for a few years now, this was my first time going to Moody Gardens and it was so fun! We ended up doing the membership. $100 for the value pass versus $165 for the annual pass (online there was a discount which made the annual passes about $140).
The holiday lights were lovely but some of the faces were a bit odd/mangled looking on the characters.
Otherwise 10/10 on those ice sculptures. Insanely beautiful and they provided parkas for visitors to use. Literally the most beautiful display of ice sculpting that I’ve ever seen. Fun mini train, slide and skating rink for kids.
The rainforest was lush and stunning. So peaceful.
The aquarium was playful and delightful. The critters were very active and the facility was a great environment.
We didn’t make it to the discovery museum this visit but definitely add this to your list of to-dos!
By Kelsey Wu (2 months ago)A must see amazing place. We did overnight camping with the scouts and had a tour of the aquarium. The aquarium is fantastic with diverse flora, fauna and aquatic creatures. We got to choose where we could sleep among three locations within the aquarium. The hosts were very great and provided an engaging and informative experience during the aquarium tour.
130$ for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 for only the aquarium! It was about an hourBy Aakash (5 months ago)This place is a must see! 🙌 The Rain Forrest is so Stunning as well as the Aquarium. Was disappointed they didn’t have the boat going! It was a great day! Possibly too many waves.
They had a dinosaur exhibit and the kids enjoyed it.
The movie theater was big and comfortable.
Must try this place at least once. We loved it. Worth the money we spent!By Lizza (a year ago)Nice place to take the family for a few hours on the weekend. My son enjoys the various attractions but seems to gravitate to the aquarium and the rain forest. The staff is normally very helpful and provide educational information when asked. They tend to run the same movies for what seems to be years at a time. Perhaps it’s just me but I wish they had a lager variety of educational 3d movies. Overall this is a great place to bring the family.By David Bandy (8 months ago)Very enjoyable lots of animals to see, well spaced out and the flow is excellent not too many spots where a lot of people bottleneck. Really enjoyed the penguins, seals/sea lions which were being fed at the time and in general just the leisurely pace to the exhibit. None of the animals seemed stressed which i always look for. Also enjoyed the look behind the scenes with the water testing exhibit and in general the folks who are there to provide additional information throughout. Well worth the money!By Stephen Duffy (9 months ago)

This place is amazing. the river crossing the city center gives it a unique character. The place is overcrowded but extends onto quieter streets. River Walk is animated, lively and relaxing at the same time. The surrounding streets are beautifully lit at night.
We got to see so much history and natural beauty. It was nice to stroll the river walk and see the bridges and restaurants that line the scenery. There were many Hotels that were along the river with great views. The shops around the village were nice to escape the heat. There were a lot of people in the heart of the Riverwalk but it was really cool to see the popular photos I’ve seen over the years. I am sure at night it would have been much cooler and beautiful with all the lights and night vibe.
The San Antonio River Walk is a very neat area. All ages can appreciate this area. It’s beautiful day or night. You should visit during both times and see if you have a preference. We like the day, but we often find ourselves doing other things that are closed in the evening, and visiting the River walk at night, but it’s a great spot any time of day. The walkways are right at rivers edge on both sides. Ducks frequent the water. The water level is just beneath sidewalk level and many areas do not have railings and you can be right next to it. However most places you sit and eat will have railings and such. There are a lot of places to eat, or get treats. There’s often live music at a place or 2, and even a drug store for your misc needs. It’s beautiful, classy, a great place for your family, or just you and your significant other. I highly recommend stopping down here if you are passing through. If you plan to, check to see when the next parade of lanterns is. Very cool lit up boats coming down the River.
A beautiful Feb day to experience the RiverWalk! Everything is marked extremely well so you always know where you are. There is so much to see and do and the walk goes on for miles. I would recommend spending the whole day so you can experience everything. Parking around the walk is anywhere from $5-20 so look for the signs. Enjoy!
Pete is the best. The San Antonio River Walk is a very cool place. All ages can appreciate this area. It’s beautiful day or night.
